Hola! Today, after breakfast, we went off site to a community center to host VBS for kids and a Women's Bible Study. The youth from our team mainly worked with the kids. We jumped rope, painted faces, blew bubble, and threw beach balls with the kids for about an hour. It was so much fun, and all the kids are so sweet and adorable! They always smiled! All the little boys decided that they needed to chase around Andrew without reason! We would say the favorite activity though for the kids and the youth was when we played with the parachute! After parachute time, the kids settled down for their Bible story. Leccy (pronounced Lexi), our translator, led it. We then split up into 7 groups of about 10 for crafts! They colored felt crosses! We also played Panto, Panto, Gantso or more famously known as Duck, Duck, Goose! It was a BLAST!
Then in the afternoon, we began construction at the church! This week our task is to dig four giant holes through concrete! BIG task! :) We chiseled, hammered, and shoveled tons of concrete and dirt away! We even completed one hole! By the time we stopped working, everyone was a wet (it rained!), concrete mess! We can't wait for the rest of the week!
